Clients from all religious backgrounds will be given a warm welcome to Scotland in our many places of worship. Scotland has a diverse range of religions and spiritual centres of interest to your clients.
The most dominant religion is Christianity, which includes all denominations of the faith, such as Roman Catholic and the Church of Scotland. As the name suggests, the Church of Scotland, or the Presbyterian Church, is the national church of the country.
Whilst being amongst the smallest population group in Scotland, the Muslim religion has shown up to be the second largest religion. This religious group in Scotland also boasts the youngest age group of followers, with many being younger than sixteen. Most Muslims in Scotland believe they originate from Pakistan. Hindus and Sikhs, by 82 per cent, believe that their origins are from India.
In the larger cities, such as Edinburgh and Glasgow, your clients will find the highest concentrations of diverse religions, including Muslims, Hindus, Christians and Presbyterians. The Buddhist faith in Scotland does not bind itself to an individual ethnic group and is therefore the most varied religion. Judaism, Buddhism and Islam are religions that are growing strongly in Scotland, with the number of members increasing each year.
