Award winning deck
Britannia.jpg - click to see larger

The charitable trust that cares for The Royal Yacht Britannia has unveiled plans to bring the ship’s Royal Deck back into use. The historic appearance of the Royal Deck will be replicated with an awning-style roof, glass walls and original teak deck. The deck was traditionally used by the Royal Family to entertain guests. The Royal Deck will open in winter 2008, the same time that Britannia celebrates ten years as a visitor attraction.

During the day we will be able to offer lunch and light refreshments to your clients, and in the evenings the range and size of corporate events will be enhanced. From winter 2008 we recommend groups allow 2½ hours for their visit should they wish to treat themselves to tea and cake! (Please note it will not be possible to pre-book this facility)

Homecoming1.jpg - click to see larger

A spectacular calendar of events will mark Scotland's first ever Homecoming year. So, whether you're a Scot, of Scottish descent, or simply love Scotland, you and your clients are all invited!<\P>

The festivities will kick off on the 250th birthday of one of Scotland's most famous sons, our national poet, Robert Burns. From Burns night (January 25th) until St Andrews Day (November 30th) you'll be spoilt for choice with a fantastic array of things to see and do.

Help us celebrate some of Scotland's great contributions to the world: Burns himself, whisky, golf, great minds and innovations and, of course, our rich culture and heritage.

The year promises an amazing programme of events, festivals and activities
